About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking an Affiliates Management Advisor to join the Eastern Region Fuels Department. This full-time role focuses on supporting the management, development, execution, and performance optimization of high-value downstream joint ventures. The position involves working with some supervision from a Senior Affiliates professional, providing analysis, formulating solutions, and ensuring compliance for Affiliates.

Department Overview

The Eastern Region Fuels Department is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of Downstream Joint Ventures. This department is integral to supporting Aramco’s downstream growth ambitions, ensuring commercial alignment with strategic partners, and safeguarding value creation through disciplined financial oversight and operational excellence of the joint venture portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor assigned Joint Ventures, ensuring alignment with Aramco’s investment strategy and financial objectives.
  • Represent Aramco in JV Board, Shareholder, and Steering Committee forums.
  • Ensure alignment of JV strategy and performance with Aramco’s business plans and shareholder interests.
  • Analyze and report on affiliates agreement oversight and governance oversight to advise the Affiliates Board and stakeholder management.
  • Analyze Board resolutions and provide necessary reports and recommendations.
  • Support Senior Affiliates Professionals to monitor and ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis for transactions and ongoing JV evaluations.
  • Oversee JV financial performance, capital expenditures, and budget alignment.
  • Conduct commercial and financial benchmarking to identify value capture opportunities.
  • Monitor market performance and identify best practices across the Affiliates portfolio to optimize businesses.
  • Identify and assess JV growth opportunities aligned with Aramco's downstream strategy.
  • Facilitate transaction execution, including commercial due diligence, business case development, valuation modeling, and partner negotiations alongside cross-functional teams.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial terms of Shareholder Agreements, Offtake, Feedstock, and Services Agreements in collaboration with legal and technical teams.
  • Support negotiations with stakeholders and partners, and lead information gathering and reporting.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships internally and externally with JV Partners and Management.
  • Mentor junior professionals and analysts within the ERFD department, contributing to the development of Aramco’s next generation of affiliate management talent.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge management and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Finance from a recognized and approved international program.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Management.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Downstream Oil & Gas, including at least 5 years in commercial strategy, Joint Venture management, M&A, or New Business Development.
  • Demonstrated strong Portfolio Management skills.
  • Extensive experience in financial valuation, modeling, due diligence, commercial negotiations, and transaction execution.
  • Deep understanding of shareholder agreements and governance structures.
  • Proven ability to lead negotiations, influence senior stakeholders, and navigate complex joint venture dynamics.
  • Adequate understanding of financial analysis of companies and valuation methodologies, commercial principles of a transaction, and different transaction structures.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing junior staff and fostering a high-performance, knowledge-sharing culture.

This role requires an experienced professional in Affiliates Management who can provide analysis, formulate and implement solutions, and monitor compliance under the direction of Senior professionals.
