Cost Control Manager

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Cost Control Manager. This full-time role is essential for maintaining the financial health of projects by developing, monitoring, and managing budgets. The Cost Control Manager will provide accurate cost estimates, track expenditures, and identify variances to ensure financial control and optimize resource allocation.

Role Purpose and Impact

The primary purpose of this position is to implement effective cost control systems and strategies to achieve financial efficiency across projects. The manager will play a critical role in ensuring that all financial aspects of projects align with organizational goals, mitigating risks, and providing clear financial insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project and departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with overall organizational financial goals.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, incorporating all potential expenses and risks to forecast financial needs.
• Monitor and continuously track project expenditures, comparing actual costs against budgeted amounts.
• Analyze cost variances, identify reasons for discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to manage budget deviations.
• Generate detailed financial reports, highlighting key metrics, trends, and issues for senior management and stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain robust cost control systems and procedures to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent cost overruns and budgetary impacts.
• Review and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with financial terms and addressing any cost-related issues.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial matters.
• Identify opportunities for improving cost control practices and processes, implementing changes to enhance financial management.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in cost control or financial management roles.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex budgets.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and variance analysis.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company, requiring active participation in project financial oversight and collaboration with various internal teams and stakeholders.
