About the Role

The Director of Wellbeing at Rosewood AMAALA in Saudi Arabia is a full-time position responsible for integrating wellbeing across all aspects of the guest experience. This role focuses on establishing wellbeing as a core element of the property's identity, culture, and service, rather than managing a traditional spa operation. The Director will collaborate with various departments to ensure every guest interaction reflects a thoughtful approach to restoration, connection, movement, nourishment, sleep, and nature immersion.

Role Context and Scope

This position involves curating and orchestrating a seamless ecosystem of guest experiences, from arrival rituals and in-room programming to outdoor activities, culinary offerings, family programs, signature events, and personalized itineraries. Beyond guest programming, the Director acts as an internal catalyst for a culture of wellbeing, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, training teams, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring operational decisions support the resort’s vision of holistic hospitality. Success is measured by the overall impact of wellbeing on guest satisfaction, brand differentiation, ancillary revenue, repeat visitation, and the resort's reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Leadership: Drive commercial performance for Asaya Spa, Fitness, Membership, Retail, and integrated wellbeing experiences. Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans aligned with resort objectives. Identify new revenue opportunities through innovative programming and strategic partnerships. Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Revenue Management to maximize performance and strengthen resort positioning.
• Integrative Wellbeing Leadership: Champion wellbeing as a defining element of the Rosewood AMAALA experience, ensuring integration across the guest journey. Develop and lead the resort’s Integrative Wellbeing Strategy in collaboration with all operational departments. Provide strategic leadership for Asaya Spa, Fitness, and Membership, ensuring operational excellence. Curate innovative experiences connecting nature, restoration, movement, nourishment, sleep, and Sense of Place. Foster strategic partnerships and evolve wellbeing offerings in line with guest expectations, market trends, and the Rosewood brand. Ensure compliance with Rosewood standards, Forbes Travel Guide standards, and health and safety requirements.
• People and Culture: Foster a resort-wide culture where wellbeing is embraced across all departments and reflected in guest interactions. Partner with Talent & Culture to support associate wellbeing, engagement, and leadership development. Inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Model Rosewood’s values and lead by example in delivering exceptional service and guest experiences.
