Electrical Technician

About the Role

ACWA Power is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team. This full-time role involves executing various maintenance activities on plant equipment under the direction of an Electrical Supervisor or Engineer. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and a strong commitment to safety protocols.

Role Overview

The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing Preventive, Corrective, and Condition-based maintenance, as well as annual outage and overhauling work activities. All tasks must be carried out with strict adherence to established safety procedures and work instructions to ensure efficient and effective operations within the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, complying with NOMAC safety rules and regulations.
• Execute all plant maintenance activities promptly and safely, adhering to applicable maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Document maintenance concerns and history for assigned equipment.
• Report required spare parts and consumables to the Electrical Supervisor/Engineer and update on spares availability.
• Coordinate with the Electrical Supervisor and local operator to ensure proper isolations are carried out before commencing maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and perform maintenance on equipment within jurisdiction.
• Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair various static and rotating electrical equipment in power and desalination plants.
• Prepare for electrical maintenance activities for assigned equipment/areas.
• Perform 5S housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant electrical technician role.
• Good knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings related to plant equipment.
• Working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.

Work Environment

This role requires readiness to work in a remote location.
