About the Role

SuperAnnotate is seeking a Kannada Language Expert for an hourly, remote contractor role in Saudi Arabia. This position involves reviewing AI-generated Kannada content and creating high-quality Kannada reference content. The role focuses on evaluating language quality, providing precise written feedback, and contributing to the improvement of AI models.

Role Context and Impact

As a Kannada Language Specialist (SME) with SME Careers, a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, you will contribute to delivering training data for major AI companies and foundation-model labs. Your expertise in Kannada will directly enhance the reliability, cultural accuracy, and clarity of AI models' Kannada language output, making it more natural and precise.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and quality-check existing translations of English science benchmark questions (ARC) in Kannada.
• Compare original translations and AI-proposed corrections against the English source, prioritizing accuracy and faithfulness over stylistic improvements.
• Assess outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to prompts.
• Identify errors in meaning, mistranslation, register (formal vs. informal), ambiguity, and logical consistency.
• Fact-check claims as needed and provide precise written feedback.
• Write high-quality rewrites and model answers that demonstrate best practices in Kannada writing.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and overall quality.
• Review question and answer choices, select the appropriate outcome (accept original, accept AI correction, edit final translation, or escalate), and provide brief review comments.
• Preserve the source's meaning, difficulty, answer structure, scientific terminology, and protected elements while adhering to core and language-specific guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in the Kannada language.
