About the Role

St. Regis is seeking a Kids Club Attendant to serve as a key resource for all recreation activities on the property. This full-time position involves providing information to guests about available recreation facilities and encouraging participation in various activities. The role focuses on ensuring a fun, relaxing, and safe environment for guests, particularly within child activities centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide information to guests regarding recreation facilities, including pools, beach, entertainment zones, fitness centers, and child activity centers.
  • Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities.
  • Promote a positive and relaxing atmosphere while ensuring adherence to facility rules and regulations for guest safety and welfare.
  • Observe activity within recreational facilities and respond appropriately to emergencies in accordance with local operating procedures.
  • Provide cashier services for point-of-sale transactions within recreation facilities.
  • Assist with group activities and events during private functions hosted within recreation facilities.
  • Identify situations where guests may not safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
  • Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
  • Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales.

Operational Duties and Standards

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly, including answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to support common goals.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Read and visually verify information in various formats and inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
  • Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 25 pounds with assistance.
  • Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
  • Experience: 0-1 year of related work experience is required. No supervisory experience is needed.
  • Certifications: CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and any other certification or training required by local and state agencies. Familiarity with recreation equipment is also required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the recreation department of St. Regis, focusing on guest interaction and facility management to ensure a high standard of service and safety.
