Logistics Officer

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Logistics Officer to manage and control logistics operations. This full-time position involves directing shipment clearance and ensuring the effective monitoring and tracking of all inbound and outbound shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage shipment logistics for both inbound and outbound movements.
• Handle shipment clearances, track, and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Develop comprehensive reports on product and material movements, as well as various operational logistics issues.
• Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of their shipments in transit.
• Develop logistics and support plans, including budget requirements and organizational timelines for new operations.
• Create operational procedures and method statements to streamline processes.
• Prepare detailed reports on material, product, and personnel movements, addressing various operational logistics challenges.
• Assess existing logistics operations systems and recommend corrective measures for improvement.
• Assist in designing and developing standard operating methods to enhance the efficiency of logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Company directives, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor material movement to and from the workface to prevent damage to works, workforce, or the public.
• Ensure customers receive their products in a timely manner and in good condition.
• Communicate effectively with clients and respond promptly to their requirements.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 year of experience in a logistics-related role.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, perform, and control logistics operations.

Required Skills

• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Proficiency in tracking and monitoring shipments.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and analyze reports on logistics activities.
• Familiarity with operational procedures and method statement creation.
