Operations Manager

About the Role

Havelock One Interiors is seeking an Operations Manager to lead project delivery in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing all activities to ensure building contracts are secured and executed on time, to the highest quality, and within budget, while maximizing client satisfaction. The Operations Manager will work closely with Project Managers and commercial teams to achieve these objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct contract reviews, negotiations, and project execution planning.
• Understand performance targets, identify, and manage potential risks and opportunities.
• Specify project objectives and plans, including scope delineation, budgeting, scheduling, setting performance requirements, and selecting subcontractors.
• Compile procurement schedules and coordinate with Project Managers and commercial teams on site supply and specialist requirements, including deadlines.
• Develop and implement project strategy and programs, interrogate progress reports, and instigate early corrective actions as needed.
• Represent the company at site meetings when required.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained throughout project construction.
• Monitor site practices and routines to ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Lead project handover and ensure defect-free completion, implementing a robust strategy for defect closure and certification.
• Develop project management and installation capabilities across different regions of the Kingdom.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental management.
• Monitor methods and output to achieve required quality standards at minimum cost.
• Develop, nurture, and manage client and supply chain relationships.
• Oversee construction sites and manage vendors and trades.
• Monitor organization and methods for maximum efficiency, maximizing resource efficiency (labor, materials, and equipment).

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and motivate the delivery team, ensuring its balance and structure align with the workload profile.
• Participate in the recruitment, reward, retention, and development of team members.
• Maintain continuous professional development for self and team to ensure appropriate technical awareness and maximize team potential.
• Share best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in operations management within the interiors or construction industry.
• Proven ability to manage building contracts from acquisition to delivery.
• Strong understanding of cost/value reconciliation and risk management.
