Role Overview and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive evaluation of academic manuscripts submitted for publication. Your primary duties will involve assessing the originality and contribution of research, scrutinizing study designs and methodologies for appropriateness and clarity, and ensuring the thorough integration of relevant literature. You will also analyze the presentation and significance of results and conclusions, providing detailed and constructive feedback to authors and editors.

• Assess Novelty: Evaluate whether the manuscript is original and adds new knowledge or insights to the field of study.
• Evaluate Study Design and Methodology: Check whether the study design and methods are appropriate, comprehensive, and clearly described to ensure reproducibility.
• Literature Review: Ensure the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research in the field.
• Analyse Results and Conclusions: Determine whether results are presented clearly and appropriately, and whether conclusions are supported by the data and significant to the field.
• Provide Constructive Feedback: Suggest improvements and highlight any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Recommend Publication: Based on your evaluation, contribute to the editor's decision regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Doctorate (PhD) or an equivalent advanced degree in the relevant subject area. A strong publication record is essential, with at least five papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years. A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the discipline is required, alongside excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
