Job Description
About the Role
ABIS is seeking a QC Inspector - Instrument - Project to join our team. This full-time role involves performing inspection and testing of instrumentation construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections on instrumentation installation works.
- Witness loop checks, calibration, and instrument testing activities in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Verify instrument installation, tubing, and wiring against approved drawings and specifications.
- Verify materials and instruments against material certificates and specifications.
- Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
- Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
- Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
- Verify the calibration status of all test and measuring equipment used on site.
- Support the generation of punch lists and verify the closure of identified items for instrumentation works.
- Ensure that work fronts comply with approved method statements and instrumentation standards.
- Support the preparation of quality documentation for instrumentation handover dossiers.
Performance Indicators
Performance in this role will be evaluated based on the following indicators:
- Accuracy and completeness of inspections.
- Timely identification and reporting of non-conformances.
- First-time inspection pass rate on assigned work fronts.
- Adherence to inspection schedules and hold points.
- Quality of inspection documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on instrumentation construction projects.
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
- QC/inspection certification is preferred.
