Role Overview

The Restaurant Supervisor - Saudi National is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards" in daily operations. This full-time role involves overseeing restaurant staff, maintaining service quality, and contributing to a positive guest experience. The supervisor will exemplify the company's core values, including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff collaboration for optimal service and guest satisfaction.
  • Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and securing areas.
  • Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO adherence, and cleanliness.
  • Conduct scheduled inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
  • Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, and motivating employees.
  • Serve as a role model and initial contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
  • Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities.
  • Communicate professionally and develop positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Support team goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Identify, recommend, develop, and implement improvements for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
  • Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in a hospitality setting. This role requires a Saudi National.
