Senior Planning Engineer

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to oversee and manage planning and scheduling activities for engineering projects. This full-time role involves developing detailed project schedules, coordinating with various departments, and monitoring progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Senior Planning Engineer will analyze project requirements, allocate resources, and identify potential risks to optimize project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, incorporating all tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, establish priorities, and define project scope.
• Monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying deviations, delays, and potential risks, and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates on schedule performance, resource utilization, and potential impacts.
• Analyze project data and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, recommending adjustments to schedules and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
• Prepare and distribute reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing project schedules, progress, and performance indicators.
• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior planning engineers and project teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in project management and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards in project scheduling and management.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 8 years of experience in a relevant planning or engineering role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of project scheduling principles and project management methodologies.
