About the Steward Role at EDITION

EDITION is seeking a Steward to join our team. This full-time position is crucial for supporting various hotel functions by ensuring cleanliness and order across different departments. The role involves maintaining high standards of hygiene and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers, and dryers.
• Transport dishware or linens across the hotel premises.
• Perform various tasks as needed to ensure operational success.

Workplace Conduct and Standards

• Create and maintain a safe workplace environment.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Uphold established quality standards and expectations.
• Ensure professional uniform, personal appearance, and communication.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Support the team in achieving common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to concerns from other employees.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• No high school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• No prior related work experience is necessary.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific license or certification is needed for this role.

Additional Duties

The Steward will also perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors to support the overall operations of the hotel.
