About the Delivery Project Director Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced Delivery Project Director to oversee the successful execution of major projects within its development portfolio. This strategic leadership position involves managing project delivery, leading multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s objectives for innovation, quality, and sustainability. The role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience.

Core Responsibilities

The Delivery Project Director will be responsible for:

• Leading the comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
• Managing and mentoring project teams, cultivating an environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and ongoing professional development.
• Engaging with and managing relationships with critical stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, government bodies, and senior management.
• Developing and implementing effective project delivery strategies, methodologies, and risk mitigation plans to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Monitoring project performance closely and implementing necessary corrective actions to address any issues impacting timelines, costs, or quality.
• Ensuring strict compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Providing regular, comprehensive project status reports and presentations to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in project delivery.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, specifically managing large-scale and complex projects.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated experience in managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication.
• Proficiency in utilizing standard project management tools and software.
• A Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent credential is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working within the Middle East region, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is considered advantageous.
