About the Role

Heidrick & Struggles is seeking a Public Relations Officer with a unique blend of corporate-government relations expertise and professional driving capabilities in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a highly organized individual to manage and enhance the organization's interactions with government entities and regulatory bodies, while also providing essential logistical support.

Government Relations and Compliance

The primary focus of this role is to support the organization's relationship with government authorities and regulatory bodies. This involves coordinating daily government relations activities, ensuring timely compliance with external requirements, and maintaining effective institutional relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting communication and coordination with government departments, regulatory authorities, and other government bodies in line with approved protocols.
  • Tracking relevant regulatory developments and administrative requirements, and communicating changes to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinating submissions, permits, licenses, registrations, and official documentation with appropriate internal stakeholders and external authorities.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of meetings, visits, and engagement activities involving government or regulatory stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all government-facing correspondence and documentation are accurate, complete, and aligned with organizational standards and approval processes.
  • Supporting issue tracking and escalating regulatory, compliance, or stakeholder matters promptly and appropriately.

Employee Support and Logistics

This role also extends to providing crucial support for employees and the office's logistical needs. Responsibilities in this area include:

  • Supporting the organization in the process of issuing or cancelling residency visas and iqamas for employees.
  • Coordinating visas and iqamas for employees' dependents where required.
  • Acting as a point of contact for employees with local regulatory bodies to provide necessary insights.
  • Providing on-hand support for various business needs, including transporting staff to client meetings and other logistical support.
  • Understanding local routes to ensure safe and punctual transport for executives and staff.
  • Coordinating the calendar to accommodate executive schedules.
  • Staying informed of personnel changes and key organizational contacts.
  • Acting as a professional representative for the office.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Saudi Arabia.
  • A valid driving license and a clean safety record.
  • Proven track record in managing visa processing, trade licenses, and authority paperwork.
  • A concise understanding of the regulatory landscape and recent developments in Saudi Arabia.
  • The ability to navigate both bureaucratic systems and city routes effectively.
