Key Responsibilities:
- Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database.
- Construct data accumulation systems to monitor fixed and variable costs.
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
- Prepare budgeting reports for the company and each department.
- Analyze and report profit margins and prepare cost forecasts.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Identify cost-effective solutions and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or Accountant.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, especially VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills and integrity in handling confidential information.
- BSc degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
