Position Description
Ma’aden Barrick Copper Company (MBCC) is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Technician for Contract-based Employment under MBCC Contractor on site. Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct regular inspections of laboratory and facility equipment to identify maintenance issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and general systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in laboratory and facility equipment.
- Replace faulty components, including wiring, motors, switches, and mechanical parts.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards.
- Maintain proper documentation for safety checks and repairs.
- Implement safety protocols during maintenance work.
- Operational Support:
- Provide immediate support during equipment breakdowns.
- Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager to prioritize urgent repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of essential tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify improvements to enhance the reliability of equipment.
- Stay updated on latest advancements in maintenance techniques.
Qualification Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and facility systems.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in an industrial or laboratory setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
