Key Responsibilities

The Database Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, integrity, and availability of our databases. Key duties include:

• Monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing database indexing and query execution speeds to enhance performance.
• Designing and implementing robust backup, restoration, and purging policies across SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL environments.
• Maintaining high availability solutions, including clustering, mirroring, and replication, to guarantee zero data loss across different locations.
• Coordinating with the Service Manager using OpenText SMAX to ensure schema changes are aligned with project management boards and ITSM governance.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration within enterprise environments.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Database Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Certified Professional, or equivalent are highly regarded.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in the following areas is crucial for success in this role:

• Advanced SQL scripting capabilities.
• Experience with database clustering technologies.
• Proven ability in performance troubleshooting.
• Understanding and implementation of ETL processes.
