Al Khozama Investment is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for a professional with over 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering within facility operations.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and reliability of all mechanical systems within the facility. This includes critical infrastructure such as HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, and other mechanical utilities, all while adhering to stringent safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, operate, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, air compressors, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Monitor system performance to ensure energy-efficient operation and conduct root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns.
• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring timely corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services.
• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and SBC.
• Review technical reports, engineering drawings, and specifications, and maintain thorough O&M documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Provide technical support for facility upgrade projects and retrofits, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Participate in the testing, commissioning, and handover phases of new or upgraded mechanical systems.
• Enforce safety procedures and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, conducting risk assessments for mechanical operations and responding to emergencies.

Team Leadership and Coordination

• Supervise and provide training to junior engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate effectively with electrical, civil, and other facility management teams.
• Liaise with landlords, tenants, and external agencies as required for operational matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly within facility operations and maintenance.
• Demonstrated expertise in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical utility systems.
• Strong understanding of relevant industry standards (*, ASHRAE, NFPA, SBC).
• Proven ability to manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Experience in project support, commissioning, and adherence to HSE policies.
