About the Pre-Contract Director Role

Fletcher Piccolo Associates is seeking a Pre-Contract Director to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience to lead and manage the pre-contract phase of projects, ensuring strategic alignment and successful outcomes from initial client engagement through to contract award.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide the entire pre-contracts process, from early-stage client engagement to contract award, ensuring clarity in scope, robust pricing, and program alignment.
• Lead bid strategy and the development of proposals, ensuring timely submissions that effectively communicate the company's value proposition and competitive advantages.
• Oversee engagement with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and comprehensive scope coverage.
• Review and approve cost plans, value engineering proposals, and procurement strategies.
• Maintain strong internal alignment across all relevant departments and ensure a seamless commercial handover to project teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in pre-contract roles.
• Proven experience working with a fit-out contractor.
• At least 8 years of experience in a senior pre-contracts, estimating, or commercial leadership role, preferably within the design and build sector.
• Demonstrated experience in dealing with Tenders and BIDs.
• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Applied knowledge of various forms of construction contracts relevant to the essential job function.
