Join AECOM as an Associate Urban Planner!
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Urban Planner to contribute to the development and implementation of urban planning projects that shape the future of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and review of urban development plans, including land use, transportation, and infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to support urban planning decisions and policy recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and maps using various planning software and tools.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists.
  • Participate in public meetings and stakeholder consultations to gather input on planning initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of zoning regulations and land use policies.
  • Contribute to the creation of sustainable and livable urban environments.
  • Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in urban planning and sustainable development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 13-15 years of experience in urban planning or a related field.
  • Proficiency in urban planning software, such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills.
  • Excellent project management abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven research and report writing capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of urban planning principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with zoning regulations and land use policies.
  • Understanding of sustainable development practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently and organize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the city and region as needed.

About the Role:

  • Strong background in sustainability and resilient urban development.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with Saudi urban development regulations and Vision 2030 is highly valued.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.

Desired Skills:
  • Project management certification (*, PMP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Certification in sustainability (LEED or MOSTADAM) is advantageous.

وصف الوظيفة
نحن نبحث عن مخطط حضري أول للانضمام إلى فريقنا الديناميكي في الرياض. كعضو رئيسي في قسم التنمية الحضرية لدينا، ستكون متورطًا بشكل عميق في تصميم وتنسيق المخططات الرئيسية على مقاييس متعددة، من خلال مبادرات تخطيط حضري مبتكرة ومستدامة.
  • قيادة وإدارة مشاريع التخطيط الحضري المعقدة من الفكرة إلى التنفيذ.
  • تطوير خطط استخدام الأراضي الشاملة، واللوائح التنظيمية، وإرشادات التصميم الحضري.
  • إجراء تحليل شامل للبيانات السكانية والاقتصادية والبيئية لإبلاغ قرارات التخطيط.
  • التعاون مع فرق متعددة التخصصات، بما في ذلك المهندسين المعماريين والمهندسين والمتخصصين في البيئة.
  • إعداد وتقديم تقارير وتوصيات مفصلة للمساهمين، بما في ذلك المسؤولين الحكوميين.
  • دمج مفاهيم المدن الذكية والمستدامة في استراتيجيات التنمية الحضرية.
  • توجيه المخططين الجدد والمساهمة في النمو العام لفريق التخطيط.

المؤهلات

  • يفضل أن تكون هناك شهادة احترافية.
  • 7-10 سنوات من الخبرة التقدمية في التخطيط الحضري، مع التركيز على مشاريع التنمية الحضرية واسعة النطاق.
  • تتطلب الكفاءة في تطبيقات CAD وAdobe، بينما ستعتبر الخبرة أو المعرفة ببرامج Revit وGIS (مثل ArcGIS وQGIS) ميزة.
  • مهارات إدارة مشاريع قوية مع القدرة على قيادة عدة مشاريع في وقت واحد.
  • قدرات رائعة في تحليل البيانات والتصور.
  • مهارات كتابة وتواصل شفهية ممتازة باللغة الإنجليزية؛ تعتبر مهارة اللغة الإسبانية مرغوبة للغاية.
  • سيتم اعتبار المعرفة العميقة بتنظيمات وسياسات التخطيط الحضري في المملكة العربية السعودية ميزة.
