Quality Control Specialist

About the Role

United Group is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join their team in Al Madinah, with operations spanning Yanbu and Medina. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring product quality through meticulous sampling and laboratory testing. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to conduct sampling and laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished feed. The specialist will verify conformity with approved specifications, providing accurate and timely results that support material acceptance, product release, and critical formulation decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply sampling plans for incoming raw materials, including bulk and vessel receipts, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Coordinate sampling activities effectively with QC Samplers.
• Verify sample identification, retention, and chain of custody to maintain integrity.
• Perform comprehensive chemical and physical analyses, including moisture, protein, fat, fiber, ash, pellet durability, and particle size.
• Conduct NIR analysis and mycotoxin screening in strict adherence to approved methods.
• Accurately record all test results in the designated laboratory system or ERP.
• Compare results against established specifications and recommend acceptance, hold, or rejection of materials and products.
• Issue certificates of analysis and share results promptly with Production, Nutrition, and Procurement departments.
• Escalate out-of-specification results to the Quality Control Senior Specialist for further action.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, and manage reagents and consumables efficiently.
• Support method verification processes and participate in inter-laboratory proficiency testing programs.
• Maintain high standards of good laboratory practice, safety, and housekeeping within the laboratory environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in quality control or a related laboratory setting.
• Demonstrated ability to perform chemical and physical analyses accurately.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Strong understanding of sampling plans and quality control procedures.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities covering operations in Yanbu and Medina. The role involves working within a laboratory setting, adhering to strict quality and safety protocols.
