Baraya Extended Care is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join its team in Abha, 'Asir. This full-time role is central to ensuring the smooth, efficient functioning of all non-clinical support services, directly contributing to high-quality patient care and an optimal environment for both patients and staff.

Role Overview

The Operations Manager oversees critical non-clinical operations including facilities management, housekeeping, food services, laundry, transportation, and supply chain. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient service delivery, maintaining safety standards, achieving regulatory compliance, and managing cost-effective operations, all while supporting clinical teams and enhancing the overall patient and staff experience within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all non-clinical support services to enable safe, clean, and efficient patient care.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, and procurement processes.
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety, infection control, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee the comprehensive operations of facilities maintenance, housekeeping, food service, transportation, and the supply chain.
• Promote a patient- and staff-centered environment and foster a high-performing culture across support services.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and establish service excellence metrics.
• Collaborate effectively with clinical leadership to align support services with care pathways and patient throughput goals.
• Manage vendor contracts, conduct audits, and monitor performance to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Lead continuity planning, risk management, and emergency response protocols for all support services.

Operational Management

• Develop annual operating plans for all support services and monitor performance against established variances.
• Directly supervise managers responsible for housekeeping, dietary, environmental services, transport, and facilities.
• Implement robust infection control and sanitation programs, ensuring adherence to environmental safety standards.
• Oversee energy consumption, sustainability initiatives, and waste management programs.
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules, capital replacements, and maintain accurate asset inventory.
• Coordinate catering and dietary planning to effectively meet the nutritional needs of patients and staff.
• Establish and monitor service level agreements with clinical departments to ensure consistent compliance.
• Lead supplier selection processes, contract negotiations, and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Ensure continuous regulatory readiness for all inspections and accreditation surveys.
• Drive process improvements utilizing methodologies such as Lean/Six Sigma or similar frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a healthcare or extended care setting.
• Demonstrated strong people leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Proven capability in contingency planning and risk management.
• Commitment to fostering sustainability, patient comfort, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
