Job Description

About the Role

Met T&S is seeking a Construction HSE Field Supervisor for a contract position in Al Jubail. This role is responsible for verifying and ensuring that all field activities comply with the company's HSE policy, regulations, standards, and procedures. The supervisor will also promote necessary preventive and corrective actions, reporting to the Construction HSE Coordinator or the Site Manager when acting as the TCM HSE representative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform job hazard analyses (JHA) and participate in job safety analyses (JSA).
  • Verify the adequacy and application of the site HSE plan and related procedures, preparing revisions as needed.
  • Update HSE documentation throughout all construction phases.
  • Ensure subcontractors perform activities in accordance with applicable HSE procedures, regulations, and standards, promoting necessary actions for observance.
  • Organize, plan, and participate in periodical HSE walk-arounds, inspections, and audits on site. Prepare reports, action plans, and verify follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Organize, coordinate, and directly participate in HSE training activities on site.
  • Organize and participate in relevant site HSE meetings, preparing Minutes of Meeting (MOM).
  • Cooperate with the client regarding the issuance of work permits.
  • Organize full investigations of work accidents to identify corrective measures and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Maintain accident records, identifying areas requiring prevention efforts.
  • Perform and/or promote personnel indoctrination/training.
  • Lead and coordinate the site HSE committee, composed of contractor and subcontractor HSE representatives.
  • Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/fighting team, organizing training and emergency drill mock activities.
  • Prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report and other periodical reports.
  • Prepare and update site HSE statistics, verifying performance against project and corporate HSE objectives, targets, and performance indicators.
  • Propose recovery plans in case of performance mismatch.

Required Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in any Engineering field or equivalent.
  • Holding a NEBOSH GC / IGC certificate.
  • ARAMCO approval is an added advantage.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in HSE within construction, fabrication, installation, and/or commissioning projects/operations in the oil & gas or petrochemical industries, with a focus on Field HSE activities.
  • Relevant experience in 3 major EPC projects in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.

This is a contract position based in Al Jubail. An excellent salary package will be offered to the successful candidate.
