About the Role

Tasnee is seeking an Engineer II, Rotating Job, to join its team in Al Jubail. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industries. The role involves independent work on troubleshooting, process improvement, and maintenance modifications, as well as generic process design for specific technologies.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Rotating Engineer will be responsible for liaising with external entities and leading small teams on minor projects. This position requires strong planning and analytical skills to interpret data and reach optimal conclusions. The role holder will participate in work programs and budgetary planning, solving problems and making decisions based on variations of standardized procedures, which requires specialist professional expertise. Mentoring junior staff and supervising their work is also an essential aspect of this role.

Key Duties

  • Utilize planning and analytical skills to interpret data and reach optimal conclusions.
  • Troubleshoot chronic issues affecting equipment and plant availability.
  • Provide first-line supervision and act as a technical reference point for Fresh and Area Rotating Engineers and assigned technicians.
  • Resolve problems affecting plant performance by forming cross-functional teams and seeking assistance from senior staff.
  • Prepare routine and non-routine reports.
  • Stay informed of all maintenance strategies and developments; CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) is a mandatory requirement.
  • Possess hands-on experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in troubleshooting, engineering, life assessment studies, and resolving performance issues (PK & Bad actors) of major polymer plant rotating equipment, including extruders and high-pressure reciprocating compressors (*, HYPER compressors).
  • Possess hands-on experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in troubleshooting, engineering, life assessment studies, and resolving performance issues (PK & Bad actors) of turbomachinery major rotating equipment, including steam turbines, centrifugal compressors (*, MITSUBISHI compressors), and gas turbines (*, SIEMENS SGT600).
  • Demonstrate understanding of vibration analyst fundamentals, interpret vibration signatures, and possess a basis of analysis; Vibration certificate CAT. level-II is a mandatory requirement, and Vibration certificate CAT level III is preferable.
  • Analyze oil analysis reports, challenge third-party reports, and provide conclusions and recommendations; MLA (Machinery Lubrication Analyst) certificate level-II is a mandatory requirement.
  • Conduct Reliability studies on Rotating equipment and identify areas for improvement to increase productivity and availability.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major machine failures and possess hands-on skills with proven cases.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industries.
