Genset Technician

About the Role

BICC is seeking a Genset Technician to join their team in Al Jubail. This full-time role involves ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of diesel generator sets to provide uninterrupted power supply for various facilities. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and offers a salary range of SAR 7,500 - SAR 11,250.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair diesel generator sets.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including checks on oil, filters, coolant, batteries, belts, and fuel systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in generators, ATS panels, control panels, and battery chargers.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply for camp kitchens, accommodation, dining areas, cold rooms, and other catering equipment.
• Respond promptly to generator breakdowns and emergency power failures.
• Monitor generator running hours, fuel consumption, load levels, and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain daily inspection reports, service records, breakdown reports, and spare-parts records.
• Coordinate with the camp maintenance team and suppliers for major repairs and spare parts.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and safe fuel-handling practices.
• Keep the generator room and work area clean, safe, and properly arranged.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in the inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of diesel generator sets. This includes practical experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults.

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail. The role requires diligent adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment, particularly within generator rooms.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from SAR 7,500 to SAR 11,250, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
