About the Client and Role

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Packages Engineer for a contract position in Al Jubail, Eastern region. Our client is a major petrochemical operation known for producing high-quality chemicals, plastics, and industrial materials globally. This company operates large, integrated plants and is a key supplier to sectors such as manufacturing, construction, and consumer products.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Packages Engineer will be responsible for leading mechanical package engineering activities through the PDP and FEED stages of major projects. This includes design development, proposal preparation, and ensuring the delivery of engineering deliverables. The role involves technical oversight, compliance assurance, and mentorship within a complex project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical package engineering activities during PDP and FEED stages, including design development, proposal preparation, and delivery of engineering deliverables for major projects.
• Review and approve mechanical package designs, specifications, and engineering outputs to ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support across project phases, including resolving design and operational issues, engaging with vendors and clients, and supporting procurement activities.
• Develop, maintain, and govern mechanical package standards while mentoring junior engineers and supporting project planning, scheduling, and performance tracking.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in petrochemical, refining, oil & gas, or related industries, with significant exposure to FEED/EPC projects.
• Extensive experience across the full project lifecycle for greenfield and brownfield projects, including mechanical package design in PDP/FEED and pre-tender engineering.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and regulations (API, ASME, ISO, PIP, NFPA, IEC, HCIS, RCER), with the ability to interpret specifications and evaluate technical deviations.
• Proven expertise in engineering tools (*, PV Elite, COMPRESS), mechanical package deliverables, vendor coordination, and technical problem-solving within complex project environments.

Work Type and Location

This is a contract position located in Al Jubail, Eastern region. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
