About the Role

Penspen, a leader in energy services with over 65 years of global experience, is seeking a Senior Scheduling/Planning Engineer to join its team. The company provides comprehensive engineering, project management, asset management, and integrity services to the energy industry. This role is integral to the PMS project and is accountable for the effective management of project controls teams supporting various projects and the Project Management team. The Senior Scheduling/Planning Engineer will also review early-stage deliverables, specifically FEL1 and FEL2, from the KJO front-end development department, focusing on cost, schedule, and risk implications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the project controls team deployed on various projects, ensuring efficient and effective project control support to the Project Management team.
  • Review early-stage deliverables (FEL1 and FEL2) produced by the KJO front-end development department, assessing cost, schedule, and risk aspects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of fourteen (14) years of professional experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of direct involvement in project management, planning, scheduling, cost estimation, cost and budget control, procurement tracking, and monitoring/forecasting of engineering and construction activities for major oil and gas projects.
  • Prior experience in schedule and cost benchmarking of oil and gas upstream projects.
  • An engineering, construction, or project management degree is required.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in project management, planning, and scheduling.
  • Expertise in cost estimation, cost control, and budget control.
  • Experience with procurement tracking and monitoring/forecasting of engineering and construction activities.
  • Familiarity with various contracting types and project execution strategies.
  • Skills in schedule and cost benchmarking for oil and gas upstream projects.
  • Computer literacy with all MS Packages, demonstrating proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 package.
  • PMC (Project Management Consultancy) experience is preferable.
