We are seeking a Senior Planning and Scheduling Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires expertise in contract management and planning and scheduling to support the delivery of a major complex project. The role involves close collaboration with client and TBH teams, applying deep scheduling knowledge to lead the development, integration, and ongoing management of project schedules from inception to completion. This is a hands-on, senior technical position for an individual committed to quality, mentorship, and project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of project schedules and plans, aligning with client objectives and project milestones.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders through clear, professional, and consistent communication to enhance collaboration and project outcomes.
- Provide mentorship and on-the-job guidance to junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing project team environment.
- Review, interpret, and analyze data from multiple sources, tailoring reporting outputs to inform project leadership and stakeholder decision-making.
- Manage the end-to-end preparation of client-facing deliverables, including detailed analysis, technical reports, and presentation material, ensuring readiness to respond to client queries.
- Prepare, maintain, and analyze complex schedules using planning tools such as Primavera P6, supported by clear reporting outputs tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Apply industry best practice planning and scheduling methodologies to identify and address project risks, constraints, and opportunities.
- Identify and implement project controls best practices to overcome planning challenges and improve delivery outcomes.
- Support knowledge sharing and capability uplift through technical workshops with senior team members and contribution to client training sessions where required.
- Champion continuous improvement and process innovation across planning and scheduling activities to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure all outputs meet the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and consistency, incorporating feedback and quality checks as part of standard delivery practice.
- Lead the development, integration, and ongoing management of project schedules from first principles based on construction drawings through to project completion.
- Validate third-party schedules using strong industry knowledge.
- Mitigate project delays through active stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare quality planning documentation that drives project certainty.
- Lead the development of detailed construction schedules, from interpreting design documentation through to progress tracking and reporting.
- Take ownership of schedule integration, resequencing activities, and validation of third-party inputs, ensuring all plans remain aligned with project objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling roles.
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding of planning, scheduling, and programming principles.
- In-depth knowledge of construction standards and methodologies.
- A developed understanding of project management methods and applications, as well as project controls principles.
- Previous experience in a consultancy setting is highly regarded.
- Prior Middle East project experience is essential due to the nature of the project and client environment.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Planning and Scheduling, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency in Contract Management.
- Ability to develop and manage Project Schedules, from Construction Drawings to Project Completion.
- Strong Industry Knowledge and understanding of construction standards and methodologies.
- Skill in validating Third-Party Schedules.
- Capability to Mitigate Project Delays through effective Stakeholder Engagement.
