Cyber Security Consultant

About the Role

Artificial Intelligence Global Company is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time role focuses on designing and preparing proposals for cybersecurity solutions, primarily for clients in the Public and Industrial sectors. The consultant will specialize in Operational Technology (OT) Security Implementation, particularly within the Oil/Gas, Energy, and Utilities sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prepare proposals that meet cybersecurity requirements and standards for public and industrial sector clients.
• Lead the design and implementation of secure OT network architectures, ensuring segmentation between IT and OT networks.
• Prepare system architecture, logical architecture, bill of materials, functional design specifications, and detailed design specifications.
• Develop Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures, and method statements for integration and modification.
• Implement and manage strict access controls for DCS environments, including user authentication, role-based access, and secure remote access.
• Design and implement network configurations based on layer concepts, including network switch configuration and component positioning.
• Configure and manage Windows Security Update System (WSUS) and What's Up Gold.
• Create architecture diagrams, configure NMS system installations through commissioning, and develop dashboards.
• Implement and manage antivirus solutions, including McAfee AV Epo Whitelisting, desktop hardening, and denial of new executable installations.
• Ensure integrity control, change control, application control, and data loss prevention.
• Design and implement VM HA clusters and VM architecture, including policy creation and maintenance.
• Design and manage backup systems.
• Conduct and oversee regular risk assessments of the OT environment, identifying vulnerabilities and potential threats.
• Ensure adequate network segmentation of the DCS from other networks to minimize intrusion risks.
• Collaborate with customer OT cybersecurity teams to maintain consistent security practices across IT and OT landscapes.
• Recommend security enhancements and purchases to strengthen OT environment defenses for clients.
• Provide training and guidance to OT engineers on security best practices and patch management.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on Operational Technology (OT) security.
• Proficiency in project management practices and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of both IT and OT systems.
• Expertise in cybersecurity practices specific to operational technology.
• Experience with compliance list preparation for deviations from standard practices.
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing secure network architectures, including routing and switching.

Work Environment and Travel

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. The role involves working with both internal and external customers. Travel is required for this position.
