About the Role
Kempinski Hotel is seeking a Director of Rooms to oversee the operational efficiency and standards of its Rooms Division departments. This full-time position requires a seasoned professional with 5-10 years of experience in hospitality management.
Core Responsibilities
The Director of Rooms is accountable for the seamless operation of departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Spa, and Recreation, ensuring adherence to brand and hotel standards. This role involves strategic planning, budget preparation, and profit and loss management. Key duties include coordinating with Revenue Management and Sales to optimize occupancy and rates, controlling labor costs for maximum productivity, and managing operational tasks through effective delegation and follow-up. The position also requires re-evaluating workflows for organizational improvement, implementing and evaluating procedures, and fostering clear communication across all departments.
Leadership and Team Development
This role involves actively participating in the recruitment process by conducting interviews and developing career paths for identified high-potential employees. Regular departmental meetings are to be organized, and management strategies and targets must be effectively communicated to all staff levels to ensure implementation. Maintaining a high level of visibility with both guests and employees is essential for fostering a positive operational environment.
Operational Excellence and Quality Assurance
Ensuring the highest standards of quality and cleanliness in all front and back-of-house areas is a primary focus, supported by daily walk-throughs. The Director of Rooms will also monitor the technical condition of departments within the Rooms Division and is responsible for achieving an 85% score during LQA inspections. Qualifications and Experience

- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is necessary.
