About The Red Palace and the Role

The Red Palace, a historic landmark in Riyadh originally built in 1943, has been reimagined as an ultra-luxury boutique hotel. It blends timeless elegance with contemporary sophistication, offering an exclusive glimpse into the Kingdom’s storied past through meticulously restored architecture, curated cultural experiences, and unparalleled service. As a full-time Director of Rooms for Boutique Group, based in Riyadh, you will report to the Managing Director and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the guest experience within the rooms division of The Red Palace.

Core Responsibilities

This position plays a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of service, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency within the rooms division. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service standards and attention to detail.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to consistently exceed guest expectations and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Monitoring guest feedback and implementing necessary measures to address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Front of House and Housekeeping departments.
  • Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to rooms division operations and implementing strategies to improve performance.
  • Collaborating with the Managing Director and Revenue Management team to develop and implement strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy.
  • Analyzing financial reports related to the rooms division, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Implementing cost control measures without compromising guest satisfaction or service quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to the rooms division, including health, safety, and security.
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by implementing appropriate security measures and emergency response protocols.

Leadership and Team Management

The Director of Rooms provides leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, training, and supervising department heads and other staff members within the rooms division.
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations, providing feedback, and implementing necessary training and development initiatives.
  • Fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement within the rooms division.
