About the Role

Gulf International Bank is seeking an experienced ETL Lead to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role is central to expanding and optimizing the bank's data Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) architecture and Data Warehouse (DWH) model. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines and systems from the ground up, requiring 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data services, interfaces, and real-time data pipelines utilizing existing, new, and emerging technologies and data engineering techniques.
• Design, develop, and test data workflows/pipelines, schemas/extracts, and data transformations to ensure data integrity from source to target and other downstream systems.
• Build the necessary infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL and other integration technologies.
• Enhance and shape the data management strategy by acquiring and warehousing new data sources from both internal and external organizational channels.

Data Architecture and Engineering Leadership

• Participate as a lead engineer on projects, providing technical guidance and support.
• Actively contribute to the adoption of robust data engineering architecture, development practices, and new technologies.
• Collaborate closely with data architecture and other units to define clear data integration strategies and standards.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

• Assist in communication and collaboration sessions with internal and external clients.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business terms and vice versa, effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactively develop and manage relationships with senior and middle management stakeholders to understand reporting and dashboard needs and requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation while consistently delivering technical solutions and demonstrating business impact.

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in ETL development and data engineering roles.
• Extensive experience in advanced data management techniques, including Data Quality (DQ), Master Data Management (MDM), Metadata Management, and Data Modelling.
• Proficiency in SQL and various integration technologies for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Demonstrated ability to be highly organized and assimilate large quantities of complex information effectively.
