Role Overview: Import of Record

This full-time role is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, and focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction and effective teamwork to achieve objectives. The Import of Record will understand how their role contributes to DHL's overall operations, particularly in managing import and export documentation and customs processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and follow up on SPARK requests and network files for import and export shipments lacking documentation.
• Monitor DCE / CCCT daily to verify Import of Record (IOR) shipments.
• Verify or reject customer's IOR using a specific application.
• Update all traces and networks on a daily basis.
• Link customer's IOR number for all listed shipments daily in DCE.
• Build trust-based relationships through open communication via callback activities and outbound calls.
• Obtain necessary documents from customers or origin for smooth customs clearance.
• Answer incoming calls and resolve customer queries promptly.
• Ensure all paperwork provided to the gateway is accurate and duties are billed to the correct consignee.
• Identify and assess customer needs to achieve satisfaction.
• Follow NTP procedures, guidelines, and policies.
• Handle and act upon changes in Saudi customs policies.
• Process all trace enquiries in accordance with service standards.
• Deliver customer service by addressing unique customer needs while adhering to DHL policies.
• Respond to customer queries regarding clearance information and customs requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
