The Role: IT Systems Engineer

Al-Qadsiah Saudi Club is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time role is central to designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure. The engineer will ensure high availability, optimal performance, business continuity, and information security, supporting the club's operational excellence and compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.

Infrastructure and Systems Administration

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware), storage systems, and file servers.
• Manage Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including user accounts, Organizational Units (OU), security/distribution groups, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
• Administer the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, user mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for user identities, authentication, Conditional Access policies, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
• Implement and administer Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, enforcing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and the Principle of Least Privilege.
• Administer Microsoft Intune and other endpoint management solutions, covering Mobile Device Management (MDM), application deployment, security policies, and OS updates.
• Manage enterprise backup solutions, monitor backup jobs, perform regular restoration testing, and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) plans.
• Administer SSL/TLS certificates, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and support internal certificate-related services.
• Manage infrastructure monitoring platforms such as PRTG or Zabbix, configuring alerts and analyzing incidents.

Cybersecurity Support and Operational Excellence

• Support and maintain cybersecurity tools including Trend Vision One, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiGate infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to investigate and remediate security incidents, implement system hardening standards, and assist in vulnerability remediation.
• Administer enterprise business applications, manage user permissions, support system integrations, and coordinate with vendors.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and support IT infrastructure and digital transformation projects.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, system configurations, operational procedures, and Disaster Recovery documentation.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, governance requirements, and industry best practices, following Change Management processes.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience in IT systems engineering or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise in the administration and maintenance of complex IT infrastructures, including the specific technologies listed under the responsibilities, is essential. A strong understanding of industry best practices for security, availability, and performance is required.
