About the Opportunity

Obrela is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Operations Admin to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and is central to managing the organization's IT infrastructure and service operations across diverse environments.

Role Purpose and Scope

The IT Infrastructure & Operations Admin is responsible for leading the strategy, delivery, and day-to-day management of IT infrastructure and service operations. This includes on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role ensures that all infrastructure services, systems, enterprise and cloud networks, cloud platforms, and end-user support services are secure, reliable, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Key accountabilities include infrastructure availability, IT service continuity, cloud governance, infrastructure security and compliance, disaster recovery readiness, vendor coordination, budget management, and the development of the technical operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage IT helpdesk and technical support functions, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and escalations.
  • Oversee Active Directory and Identity and Access Management operations, including user provisioning, access reviews, group policies, and role-based access control.
  • Design, implement, administer, and maintain infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage, telecommunications, virtualization platforms, operating systems, and cloud services.
  • Manage enterprise and cloud networking environments, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching, DNS, load balancers, VPC/VNet architecture, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Ensure infrastructure, network, and cloud environments meet required levels of availability, performance, scalability, security, and compliance, including NCA and PDPL requirements.
  • Lead cloud adoption and migration initiatives, encompassing landing-zone design, workload migration, governance, data residency, and service optimization.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver infrastructure, networking, and cloud projects within defined scope, budget, timeline, quality, and security parameters.
  • Coordinate with application, cybersecurity, digital, and business teams for effective integration of services.
  • Manage technical changes, system upgrades, patching, preventive maintenance, and security updates.
  • Monitor infrastructure, networks, systems, and cloud services for stability, availability, performance, and capacity.
  • Handle major incidents, coordinate resolution, and ensure follow-up with internal teams and vendors.
  • Prepare periodic and on-demand reports on infrastructure status, network availability, service performance, and improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement the organization's long-term infrastructure and operations strategy, roadmap, architecture, and technical standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience (5-10 years) managing infrastructure operations, enterprise and cloud networking, technical support, cloud platforms, vendors, and service continuity.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in system administration across Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Experience in infrastructure planning, cloud adoption, workload migration, and hybrid or multi-cloud operations.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, including servers, enterprise networks, storage, telecommunications, virtualization, operating systems, and end-user computing.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, network segmentation, load balancing, wireless networking, network monitoring).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking (VPC/VNet architecture, subnets, route tables, security groups, cloud firewalls, load balancers, private endpoints, VPN gateways, direct connectivity, hybrid cloud integration).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud, including IAM, networking, monitoring, governance, security, and cost management.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, infrastructure security, cloud security, network security, access management, patch management, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Good knowledge of applicable local regulatory and compliance requirements, including NCA and PDPL requirements where relevant.
