Introduction to the Role

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time position is central to the design of substations, transmission, and distribution systems within the oil & gas, hydrocarbon, and infrastructure industries. The role demands extensive experience and demonstrated leadership in managing electrical engineering and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of 10 to 20 electrical engineers and designers.
Develop discipline work plans for electrical engineering projects.
Perform and check electrical systems studies, including those utilizing tools such as ETAP.
Prepare accurate work-hour estimates for project tasks.
Develop electrical equipment sizes and comprehensive specifications.
Conduct and verify power systems analyses.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team and clients.
Ensure the design integrity of the electrical scope, manage staff performance, and deliver work on schedule and within budget.
Lead technical presentations to clients and their representatives as required.

Project Scope and Technical Leadership

This role encompasses involvement in Conceptual, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and detailed engineering phases for medium to large-scale projects. The Principal Electrical Design Engineer is critical in providing technical direction, ensuring adherence to design standards, and maintaining project timelines and financial parameters for the electrical scope.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery, offshore, and infrastructure industries.
