About the Process Engineer Role

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Process Engineer, a Saudi National fluent in Arabic, to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position supports Industrial Digitalization Solutions across various sectors including Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, Mining, and Manufacturing. The role is integral to advancing digital transformation, implementing advanced process control, and managing process engineering projects, acting as a key client-facing engineering interface.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Arabic-speaking liaison between clients and the project team.
• Collaborate with client process, operations, engineering, and IT/OT teams to define business and technical requirements.
• Gather, document, and analyze stakeholder requirements for digital transformation initiatives.
• Assist with process studies, engineering calculations, and process performance analysis.
• Support the implementation and optimization of Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions.
• Prepare engineering documents, technical reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and project deliverables.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and startup activities.
• Support system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during project execution.
• Coordinate project activities with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct end-user training and prepare operating manuals and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with client engineering standards, project procedures, and quality requirements.
• Travel to client sites, including Ma’aden locations and other sites across Saudi Arabia, or internationally as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in Process Engineering within the Mining, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial Manufacturing industries.
• Experience in client-facing engineering environments is preferred.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is preferred.
• Native or fluent Arabic and professional English communication skills are mandatory.
• Only Saudi Nationals are eligible to apply.
• Understanding of process engineering calculations and process control fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Mass & Energy Balances.
• Ability to apply engineering principles including thermodynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and process control in industrial applications.
• Familiarity with Advanced Process Control concepts.

Preferred technical exposure includes:

• Industrial Automation (SCADA, DCS, PLC)
• Process Modeling & Simulation (Aspen HYSYS or equivalent)
• Advanced Process Control (Aspen DMC3 or equivalent)
• Data Analytics
• Industrial IoT
• Digital Twin technologies
• AI applications in process industries
• Python, SQL, and OSI PI
