About the Role

Worley is seeking a Senior HSE Specialist to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position involves providing embedded Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) leadership and assurance to project teams, specifically seconded to Saudi Aramco. The role is critical in ensuring adherence to Saudi Aramco standards, local regulatory requirements, and international HSE best practices within the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior HSE Specialist will be responsible for a range of critical HSE functions. This includes managing contractor HSE performance, conducting thorough risk assessments and controls for high-risk activities, and performing site inspections and audits. The role also encompasses incident investigation with root cause analysis, preparing comprehensive HSE reports, and ensuring robust emergency preparedness. A key aspect of this position is acting as an HSE advisor to the Aramco Project Management Team (PMT), actively promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Life-Saving Rules, and implementing effective hazard management strategies. The Specialist will have the authority to intervene and stop unsafe work practices.

Daily and Ongoing Duties

  • Monitor all aspects of offshore safety on a daily basis.
  • Oversee contractor compliance with the established Safety Program and training requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary reports and documentation related to assigned safety program aspects.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety policies and procedures to ensure safe performance of duties.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, monitoring, and analysis of work areas.
  • Accept and perform specific duties as assigned within the safety departments.
  • Stay informed about applicable rules and regulations, including government standards and policies.
  • Be available at all times to respond to emergencies.
  • Ensure personal safety and adherence to safe working practices for the Project.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a Bachelor’s Degree. Additionally, a Nebosh or equivalent certificate is a mandatory requirement. Extensive experience in Oil & Gas construction is essential, along with a strong understanding of Saudi Aramco HSE systems.
