La Petite Maison (LPM) is seeking a Sous Chef Baker for Le Café LPM in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. Le Café LPM operates as a casual neighborhood destination, blending French Riviera influences with daily city life, focusing on quality food and service. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Sous Chef Baker will serve as the primary support to the Head Baker, ensuring the efficient operation of the bakery. This role involves managing bakery operations, overseeing preparation, quality control, and team supervision across all production cycles. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, capable of performing under pressure, and possess strong leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Baker in managing daily bakery operations, including discipline, bake schedules, and production pace.
• Oversee food safety protocols and ensure consistency in all baked goods.
• Lead bakery operations confidently in the absence of the Head Baker.
• Apply French and European baking techniques, including laminated doughs, natural fermentation, shaping, and baking, with precision.
• Manage, motivate, and develop the bakery team, maintaining discipline and efficiency during all shifts.
• Communicate with the Front of House team regarding daily fresh product availability.
• Ensure adherence to HACCP discipline, allergen control, temperature logging, and hygiene standards.
• Verify that all baked goods meet established standards for taste, texture, crust, presentation, and consistency.
• Assist with inventory management, ingredient yield optimization, waste reduction, and supplier liaison to maintain quality and control costs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant baking role.
• Demonstrated technical strength in baking, particularly with French and European techniques.
• Proven ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Experience in a leadership capacity within a bakery or kitchen environment.

Reporting Structure and Department

The Sous Chef Baker reports directly to the Head Chef and operates within the Back of House / Bakery department. This role requires flexibility, and team members may be asked to support other departments as business needs dictate.
