About the Sous Chef Role at Grand Hyatt Al Khobar

Grand Hyatt is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team in Al Khobar. This full-time position involves assisting the Chef de Cuisine in managing kitchen operations to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Sous Chef will support the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing assigned kitchen operations, functioning as a successful profit center. Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all aspects of kitchen operations and administration to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing daily kitchen operations.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates as an efficient and profitable unit.
  • Implement planning, organizing, directing, and controlling measures for kitchen activities.
  • Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction through effective kitchen management.
  • Oversee kitchen administration and operations.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or 4 years as a Chef de Partie within a hotel or a large restaurant with established standards. Experience with luxury international brands is preferred.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

A qualification in Kitchen Production or Management will be considered an advantage. Basic computer skills in MS Office and familiarity with a Recipe Maintenance System are preferred.
