Sous Chef, Asian Cuisine at Grand Hyatt Al Khobar

Grand Hyatt is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef, Asian Cuisine to join our culinary team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves supporting the Chef de Cuisine in the effective management of the assigned kitchen operation.

Role Purpose and Operational Scope

The Sous Chef will assist in managing the kitchen as a successful independent profit center. A primary focus of this position is to ensure maximum guest satisfaction through diligent planning, organization, direction, and control of all kitchen operations and administrative tasks.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Cuisine in the overall management of the assigned kitchen operation.
• Contribute to the kitchen's success as an independent profit center.
• Plan, organize, direct, and control daily kitchen operations.
• Oversee kitchen administration to ensure efficient functioning.
• Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction through operational excellence.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Sous Chef or 4 years as a Chef de Partie.
• Experience gained in a hotel or a large restaurant with established standards is required.
• Prior experience with luxury international brands is preferred.
• A qualification in Kitchen Production or Management is considered an advantage.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices is essential.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards is essential.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, are preferred.
• Familiarity with Recipe Maintenance Systems is preferred.
