About the Role

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Sr. Specialist, HSE to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time role focuses on implementing and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines across the organization. The specialist will play a crucial part in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for employees and departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure employee and department safety.
• Create incident reports and perform inspections to ensure conformity in all areas of HSE.
• Interact with services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to research and interpret relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
• Determine the necessity for and organize audits of company-operated properties.
• Stay informed of current regulatory requirements and auditing standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of systems and standards to facilitate the capturing and analysis of HSE statistics.
• Solve complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices under general supervision.
• Utilize experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of an undergraduate degree is typically required for this position.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Health, Safety, and Environment roles.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding and practical application of HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Proficiency in incident reporting, conducting inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to solve complex problems and apply industry best practices.
• A proactive approach to process improvement and system development for HSE statistics.

Work Environment and Supervision

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. The Sr. Specialist, HSE operates under general supervision, managing complex tasks independently while also having the opportunity to guide and support less experienced team members within the department.
