About the Role

Ram Arbia For General Contracting is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer to join its team for projects located in the Eastern Province, specifically in Dammam. This is a full-time position requiring a professional with 5-10 years of experience in the HVAC field.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior HVAC Engineer will be responsible for a range of technical and managerial duties related to HVAC systems. This includes overseeing project implementation, ensuring adherence to standards, and managing project documentation.

• Supervising and implementing HVAC and cooling projects.
• Reviewing and approving shop drawings and material submittals.
• Performing testing and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Coordinating effectively with consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Managing the work team and ensuring timely project execution.
• Preparing technical reports, documenting quantities, and following up on project delivery.
• Ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained throughout project execution.
• Bearing work pressure and adhering strictly to project schedules.

Technical Expertise and Project Experience

Candidates are expected to possess a strong technical background in HVAC design and implementation, with a proven track record in relevant project types. Familiarity with industry codes and standards is essential.

• Proven experience in implementing and supervising projects, particularly in hospitals, medical centers, and residential complexes.
• Experience with Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH) projects or projects compliant with CBAHI requirements is preferred.
• Proficiency in relevant codes and standards, including ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and SBC (Saudi Building Code).
• Ability to perform cooling load calculations.
• Proficiency in designing air conditioning ducts and chilled water systems.
• Skill in reviewing engineering execution drawings and identifying clashes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

The role requires a formal engineering education, significant practical experience, and specific technical proficiencies. Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is a mandatory requirement.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in HVAC or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in the HVAC and cooling sector.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers with a transferable sponsorship.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, HAP, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Navisworks is preferred.
