About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a full-time Assistant Technician, Mechanical Maint. to join its team in Dammam. This role is integral to supporting the mechanical management's goals for equipment maintenance and ensuring optimal operational wellness within the plant.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to greater plant productivity by maintaining equipment and operations in line with established safety instructions. The Assistant Technician works to ensure that all mechanical aspects of the plant function efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting practices effectively within the rolling mill environment.
• Collaborate with senior mechanical technicians on the implementation of general maintenance work orders.
• Understand the intended outcomes of maintenance plans to ensure timely completion and quality execution of work.
• Report on relevant activities and provide status updates for assigned maintenance tasks.
• Perform mill maintenance fittings work as required.

Safety and Operational Adherence

• Ensure all safety aspects are thoroughly considered within the workplace, including the use of tools, facilities, and interactions among personnel.
• Understand and strictly adhere to organizational Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies.
• Maintain familiarity with all safety instructions pertinent to job tasks.
• Keep provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) in good, workable condition.
• Report any accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions promptly to the relevant responsible parties.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
