Saudi Diesel Equipment Company (SDEC) is a prominent distributor of equipment and a provider of custom industrial equipment solutions. We are seeking a Busbar Fabricator to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Province, for a full-time position.

Purpose of the Busbar Fabricator Role

The primary purpose of the Busbar Fabricator is to manufacture and prepare busbars for electrical systems, ensuring they can safely carry and distribute high current. This involves a comprehensive process from interpreting technical drawings to the final quality check of assembled components.

Core Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production drawings accurately.
• Prepare comprehensive lists of busbars, including sizes and quantities.
• Compile lists of required hardware and insulators.
• Cut busbars precisely according to production drawing specifications.
• Punch busbars based on physical measurements taken after horizontal busbar installation.
• Bend busbars to match the specified distances from main to branch connections.
• Take accurate measurements for busbars connecting with the load.
• Assemble all busbars using the correct hardware.
• Perform torquing for all busbar joints.
• Prepare links for load connections.
• Assemble neutral and earth busbars as per production drawings.
• Terminate all busbars according to production drawing requirements.
• Inspect joints and connections thoroughly before the Quality Control (QC) routing test.
• Request necessary materials from the supervisor based on the Bill of Materials.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

• Adhere strictly to all company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Promptly identify and report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses to the appropriate supervisor or QHSE team.
• Properly use, maintain, and store personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools as mandated by the job.
• Actively participate in mandatory Safety inductions, HSE trainings, safety meetings, emergency drills, and root cause investigations.
• Follow established emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans, fire response, and first aid if trained.
• Implement protocols to minimize environmental impact, including proper waste disposal and reporting spills or leaks.
• Provide suggestions for enhancing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, taking responsibility for continual improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in busbar fabrication or a similar field. A strong understanding of electrical systems and precision fabrication techniques is essential.
