Role Overview

Lummus Technology is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves marketing the company's technology portfolio globally, identifying new business opportunities within the Ethylene industry, and fostering long-term customer relationships. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining alliances and partnerships and promoting Lummus Technology's products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities, including proactive involvement in sales/pricing strategy and leading business risk analysis.
• Serve as the commercial liaison between the Lummus Technology operating group and prospective clients, maintaining consistent contact with key client representatives.
• Develop and negotiate licensing and engineering agreements.
• Collaborate internally across organizational functions to develop and secure approval for negotiated positions.
• Ensure awarded projects remain on track, including following project management activities and confirming licensee payments are made per contract.
• Conduct market research, analysis, and sales forecasting; gather competitive intelligence; and provide market feedback and technology requirements to technology managers.
• Establish strong relationships with regional sales representatives and other business groups.
• Decide on sales strategies for individual proposals in consultation with team members and ensure adequate staffing for proposal efforts.
• Assist in developing and implementing growth strategies for the business group.
• Implement marketing plans for innovative sales approaches.
• Coordinate proposal risk analysis and present overall Risk Reviews to management.
• Prepare commercial offers and deliver client presentations for technology sales.
• Review contract terms and conditions closely and coordinate reviews with legal and financial departments.
• Negotiate basic engineering package and catalyst license agreements.
• Accompany prospects on licensee plant visits.
• Maintain and update the sales database to ensure accuracy and currency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business development or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and secure new business opportunities in the Ethylene industry.
• Experience in developing and negotiating complex licensing and engineering agreements.
• Strong understanding of market research, sales forecasting, and competitive intelligence.
