Job Description

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Chef de Partie to join the Food and Beverage & Culinary team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare special meals and substitute food items as needed.
  • Regulate the temperature of cooking equipment including ovens, ranges, grills, and roasters.
  • Manage food thawing processes by removing items from the freezer and placing them in the refrigerator.
  • Ensure that food portions, presentation, and garnishes meet established standards.
  • Maintain accurate food logs.
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of all prepared food items.
  • Communicate when additional assistance is required during busy service periods.
  • Inform the chef of any surplus food products that can be utilized in daily specials.
  • Notify Food and Beverage service staff of any withdrawn menu items or specials.
  • Uphold the quality standards of all food products.
  • Prepare and cook foods according to recipes, quality standards, and established checklists.
  • Prepare cold food items.

Team and Operational Support

  • Assist management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, motivation, and coaching, serving as a role model.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions.
  • Complete required training and obtain necessary safety certifications.
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Protect company assets and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Anticipate and address customer service needs effectively.
  • Communicate using clear and courteous language at all times.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team members to achieve common goals.
  • Listen and respond with sensitivity to the issues of other employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality requirements and standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (* kg) without assistance.
  • Willingness to perform other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.
