About the Role

Ram Arbia For General Contracting is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to join our project team. This full-time role is crucial for the execution of a major hospital construction project located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all civil and structural works, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Project Context and Responsibilities

The Civil Engineer will supervise all civil and structural construction activities throughout the project lifecycle. This involves ensuring that all works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, and contractual requirements. Close coordination with all engineering disciplines is essential from project inception through to completion and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all civil and structural construction activities on site.
• Review civil and structural shop drawings and construction documents before execution.
• Monitor excavation, backfilling, foundations, retaining walls, reinforced concrete structures, and all structural construction activities.
• Supervise formwork, reinforcement installation, concrete placement, curing, and structural quality control.
• Verify site readiness and construction layouts prior to commencing work.
• Monitor subcontractors and ensure compliance with quality standards and approved project schedules.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, and Architectural teams to prevent construction conflicts.
• Review construction materials and verify compliance with approved technical specifications.
• Monitor laboratory testing results for concrete, soil, and construction materials.
• Participate in inspections and acceptance procedures with the Consultant.
• Resolve technical observations and close outstanding comments.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports.
• Support Testing, Commissioning, and Final Project Handover activities.
• Coordinate with the Technical Office in preparing As-Built Drawings and project closeout documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in construction execution and site supervision, specifically managing civil and structural works. The ability to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, and high standards of quality and safety is essential.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous experience on Ministry of Health or Healthcare Cluster projects.
• Experience delivering specialized or tertiary healthcare facilities.
• Experience on Design & Build projects.
• Professional certifications in Construction Management or Structural Engineering.
• Experience implementing BIM methodologies and digital construction workflows.

Work Location

This full-time position is based at the project site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ram Arbia For General Contracting operates from Dammam, Eastern Province.
