Cost Control Engineer

About the Role

TalentHive is partnering with a well-established Saudi group undergoing a significant transformation and Saudization program. We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join the organization in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is crucial for strengthening cost visibility, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control across various projects and operations within a large, operationally diverse business.

Role Context

The Cost Control Engineer will be an integral part of the PMO and cost-control capability, contributing to stronger cost-control, planning, and performance-management practices. This position offers exposure to a complex operating environment and the opportunity to develop a career within an evolving PMO function.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor actual expenditure and commitments against approved budgets.
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
• Track project and operational costs, identifying variances, trends, and potential overruns.
• Perform detailed cost and variance analysis.
• Prepare regular cost-control reports and management information.
• Support forecasting and provide visibility of expected financial performance.
• Maintain accurate cost information within relevant systems and reporting tools.
• Collaborate closely with PMO, Finance, and operational stakeholders.
• Support improvements to cost-control processes, reporting, and governance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in cost control.
• Strong hands-on experience across budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
• Applicants must be Saudi Nationals, in line with program requirements.

Compensation

The salary for this position is up to SAR 12,600 per month.
